Two Die After Jet Crashes into Indiana Houses

A small plane carrying four passengers crashed into an Indiana neighborhood on Sunday, killing two of the passengers.

Local authorities say the plane was experiencing mechanical problems and hit three homes before coming to a halt.

The plane’s pilot contacted the tower on their way to South Bend Regional Airport and reported electrical problems with the plane.

Due to concerns of a gas leak, the neighborhood was evacuated.

ABC News reports that one neighbor said they heard the plane’s engine running after the crash as well as jet fuel pouring from it.
