A St. Louis-area Panera Bread is serving turkey chili in a
bread bowl for…whatever the customer wants to pay.
This particular item is made from all-natural,
antibiotic-free turkey combined with vegetables and beans in a bread bowl.
The turkey chili in a bowl is part of a trial run that will
be hitting all 48 Panera Breads in the St. Louis-area.
Panera calls the trial “Meal of Shared Responsibility” and
has the idea in mind that customers who can afford the $5.89 for the bowl will
pay for it.
The money from the paying customers would in turn pay for
the bowl for customers who cannot afford it.
