Israel Sends Airstrike into Syria

U.S. officials say that Israel sent an airstrike into Syria overnight Thursday at what is believed to be a suspected weapons site.

A warehouse was confirmed hit, but what was in the warehouse has yet to be determined.

CNN reports one U.S. official saying that "there is no reason to believe that Israel has hit chemical weapons storage facilities."

Israel has said in the past that transferring any weapons to terrorist groups through Lebanon would be the reason an airstrike would be launched.

Lebanon’s army website states that 16 Israeli warplane flights have penetrated their airspace between Thursday evening and Friday afternoon.
