Identity Theft: 7-Eleven Stores Seized by Federal Authorities

Nine 7-Eleven owners and managers were charged with identity theft and exploiting at least 50 undocumented workers.

Fourteen stores were seized by federal authorities.

The U.S Attorney for the Eastern District of New York said those that were arrested disbursed wire fraud and identity theft, along with Slurpees and hot dogs.

The undocumented workers were allegedly forced to work 100 hours a week with most of the pay taken by the managers.

The workers were also given identification from American citizens, including the deceased and children.
