Militants attacked the Afghan presidential palace early
Tuesday morning in the capitol of Kabul.
The BBC reports a series of explosions and airborne debris have resulted in this attack.
The explosions took place outside the eastern gate of the palace; however, it is uncertain if the explosions were from a suicide bombing or other means.

A reporter from Reuters said the attack came after reproters
were gathering for a press event with Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai.
It is unclear if Afghanistan President Karzai was in the palace during
the time of the attack.
