A crane operator involved with the building collapse in downtown Philadelphia gave himself up to authorities.
Sean Benschop is accused of being high on marijuana when operating a crane when the four-story building collapsed onto a Salvation Army Thrift store.
Authorities say Benshchop will be charged with 13 counts of
reckless endangerment of another person, six counts of manslaughter, and “risking
a catastrophe”.
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter says he hopes Benschop
faces “the harshest level of charges…and he is punished accordingly”.
