An Assassination Attempt on Hussein Was Made in 1970's

A documentary about the attempted assassination of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in the 1970’s will air in Israel Monday night.

The film titled Sealed Lips will cover the career of the head of Mossad, Yitzhak Yofi, during 1974 and 1982.

The Israeli intelligence agency Mossad tried to assassinate Hussein with a book containing a bomb before Hussein’s rise to power.

Mossad is known for rigging different items and devices in order to take out enemies to their country.

The film says that Hussein was paranoid about opening the book himself, and had another official open it instead.

That official died as a result of opening the book.
