NBA Player Ejected From Game/Throws Mouthpiece At Referee

Amir Johnson of the Raptors was ejected from game against the Trail Blazers Monday night after a ball struggle with referee David Jones.

Johnson says he got frustrated for not receiving an explanation for the ejection, which led to his mouthpiece being thrown in the Jones's direction.

To prevent Johnson from being escorted from the floor, his teammates had to restrain him.

It was with 5:02 left in the third quarter before a Portland free throw that the ball struggle took place.

Johnson says that he has a habit of rubbing the ball before giving it to the referee during free throws.

The Raptors lost 92-74.
