Australian Prank DJs Speak About Nurse’s Suicide

After last week’s prank call to the London hospital that allegedly led to the suicide of a nurse, the two DJs behind the prank gave their first public interview.

DJs Michael Christian and Mel Greig appeared on Australia’s Channel 9 saying they were “shattered” and “gutted” by the suicide.

Christian told the media that they were both sorry and that the prank was supposed to be harmless and innocent.

The prank was Greig and Christian calling the hospital where Kate Middleton was being treated.

Once the nurse answered, the two DJs pretended to be Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles checking on Middleton’s condition.

The nurse, Jacintha Saldanha, connected the call to Middleton’s room not knowing that it was a prank.

The DJs have since been taken off the air.
