Whiteout: Winter Storm Hits the Northeast

Still recovering from the fallout caused by Hurricane Sandy, the Northeast U.S. was hit with a winter storm on Friday.

Fifty million people are in the path of this storm with two or three feet of snow expected to hit the area.

Thousands of schools in the Northeast area have either closed or dismissed students early in response to the storm.

Airports in New York and Boston have been grounded and authorities expect there to be a complete stop to air travel.

Forecasters say the most severe part of the storm is expected to occur Friday night and continue into Saturday morning.
