Governor Dave Heineman of Nebraska announced the resignation
at a press conference and said his trust in Sheehy “was broken”.
This resignation comes after The Omaha World-Herald raised
questions about Sheehy making thousands of phone calls to four women while he
was married.

Governor Heineman has since revoked his support for Sheehy
running for the gubernatorial race in 2014.
