An earthquake with a 7.5 magnitude hit the coast of Alaska
early Saturday morning, causing a small tsunami to be created.
The tsunami was observed by the West Coast and Alaska
Tsunami Warning Center and was measured at nearly six inches.
The Warning Center issued a tsunami warning for Alaska and
parts of Canada, but has since been canceled due to the tsunami no longer
posing a threat.
CBS reports that although the earthquake was widely felt, no
reports of damage by the earthquake have surfaced.
The United States Geological Survey says that a magnitude of
7.5 can cause slight damage in specially designed structures and damage normal
buildings.
